  • Dr. Amie
    Dr. Amie Carrier DVM
    Veterinarian

    Originally from Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Dr. Amie Carrier graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She completed a small animal rotating clinical internship at Auburn University in 2007 and then entered into a dual residency program in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Emergency/Critical Care. Dr. Carrier has four children, two cats (Scotty and Waffles), two dogs (Salty and Nala), 10 turtles, 3 Bearded Dragons, 3 Leopard Geckos, a Crested Gecko, and a myriad of tanks. Her hobbies include rescuing and rehabilitating animals, reading, scrapbooking, teaching, and watching the UCONN Huskies and Boston Red Sox.

  • Dr. Safi Chand
    Dr. Safi Chand DVM
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Chand has practiced emergency medicine and surgery for more than 10 years. He graduated from Canada and a few years later decided to further upgrade his skills in ER medicine and surgery in 2005. In 2006, he completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine with a major in emergency medicine and surgery at Southern Massachusetts Emergency and Referral in Massachusetts. He had the privilege of working with largest Cardiology and internal medicine group (CVCA and AVIM) in Maryland as an ER clinician for 4 years. Dr. Chand wanted to be a veterinarian having grown up with German Shepherds. His areas of interest are internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, radiology, soft tissue and select orthopedic procedures. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and their zoo comprising of 2 cats and fish. He also enjoys reading, traveling and horseback riding.

  • Dr. Ali
    Dr. Amini Ali DVM
    DVM

    Dr. Ali has always had a love for animals of all different species and has always been interested in science starting from a very young age. Combining both aspects, he graduated in 2010 as a forever learner veterinarian. Since then, Doctor Ali has worked in many different areas of the vast Veterinary Medical field, including government's public health sector, provincial campaigning programs against common zoonotic diseases, National Research Council Canada, and of course in small animal hospitals. When Doctor Ali is not working, he enjoys reading, long distance walking, swimming, and exercising.

    Kelly Pruett
    Practice Manager

    Kelly is a surgical technician who has taken the step up to practice manager. She has been working in the veterinary field since high school. Kelly lives in Howard County with her fiancé, Kyle, and their daughter, Skylar, who loves coming to work with her mom. Kelly has a sweet Ragdoll named Phoenix, a puppy Dane mix named Kawi, and 2 gerbils. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, watching Kyle race motocross, swimming with her daughter, and cooking.
